Now Playing: Nothing Stops Another Day from GHOST The Musical

I see the sunrise from my window
It must’ve risen every day
But I couldn’t see at all
The shadows were too tall
But I’m seeing it today

I could see the people speaking
I couldn’t hear a word they say
Just the echo of it all
Passing through an empty hall
I’m hearing it today

Because the world keeps turning
And I guess it always will.
I can choose to turn around
Or I can choose to just stand still.
Either way, nothing stops another day.

I lost my life and all its meaning
And so I locked myself away.
Letting my heart behind a wall
I couldn’t feel it beat at all
But I’m feeling it today

Because the world keeps turning
And I guess it always will.
I can choose to turn around
Or I can choose to just stand still.
Either way, nothing stops another day.

But now I have to let go of a life I’ll never know
Hard as it may be
I’m trying to understand instead

There’s another life ahead.

Because the tallest mountain cannot stop the smallest stream
Winter can’t hold back the spring
No matter how dark it may seem
Come what may
Nothing stops another day

Come what may
Nothing stops another day

2012—A Year of CHANGE.

I never thought I would reach this point. I never thought that the dreams I have set for myself would change “in a heartbeat.”

In fact, a few years ago I even had a blog about why I did not want to go corporate. (See “I Want A Corporate Job” https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=55186810274) Apparently, your heart’s desire can change in just 3.5 years. I used to think that doing what I love was the only way I was going to succeed; little did I know that doing things FOR THE PEOPLE I LOVE MOST is a much stronger motivation than anything else. When you realize that you do not live for just yourself, but that deep down, there is actually this powerful desire to give back, to just give.

I am the way I am because of the two people who gave their 1000% (not an extra zero) raising me… And for that I will be eternally grateful. Right now, there is nothing more important to me than to make them happy. :)

So for 2012 I will:

1. BE PRESENT — This entails total focus on other individuals.

       - Stop looking at my phone when I am talking to someone.

2. BE A BLESSING — Help the people I care about in any way I can.

3. BE A DAUGHTER FIRST AND FOREMOST — Spend as much time as I can with my parents.

Happy New Year! This year is about to change all our lives.. I can feel it in my bones. ;)
